Pho Viet 101

Pho Viet 101 in Stoke Newington, London has always been a beloved spot, but its old grey front never matched the depth and brightness of its food. UNGA from the Ghostown crew reshaped the façade into a hand-painted mix of English signwriting tradition and Vietnamese visual cues, giving the restaurant a front that finally speaks the same language as its flavours.

As a family-run spot, leaning into handpainted signage felt completely natural, a craft tradition that mirrors the care they put into their food. Warm tones drawn from Vietnamese visual culture were chosen for the new façade, a palette that will now extend into the restaurant’s full brand identity, giving Pho Viet 101 a look as welcoming and characterful as the people behind it.
